Kira = Fem Kiba
Kazuki = Male Karui
Kazuki and his team mate Omie (Fem Omoi) joked about finding a potential romance in Konoha. Omie in her typical worrying fashion thought that a couple of guys might fall for her, that they'd challenge each other to a fight to the death, and then she'd run in to break up the fight dying in the process like some great tragic opera.
Kazuki chides his female team mate and says she thinks too much. Omie asks what Kazuki thinks his prospects of finding a girl in Konoha are. Kazuki stammers for a moment before saying he'd like a girl with spirit, who comes from a good family, and doesn't worry about the small stuff. Omie says that he forgot one quality, "A body that doesn't quit!" as she starts shaking her own "moneymaker". This prompts Kazuki to throw a rock at her, which misses.
While wandering ruined Konoha Kazuki eventually finds himself alone with Kira, and finds a wild young woman who herself is looking for a man with rugged good looks. Being a bit of a rebel she even likes the fact he's from a different village; it adds a bit of excitement, a bit of danger.
In the little bit of downtime Kazuki has while in Konoha he and Kira find a functioning night-club just out of town. It's the perfect diversion to Kazuki's endless paperwork and Kira's rebuilding schedule. They lose themselves to the beat of the music, the swaying of their bodies, their raging hormones.
Kira's Father (Tsukiya) and older brother (Hama) both smell a new man on Kira, but Kira tells them to lay off. She thinks she's in love.
Kazuki left the village a few days later, after getting Kira's address and promising to write her. For days later he would feel his cheek where she had kissed him.
